KONSEP SERTIFIKASI BAKU MUTU NORM DALAM BAHAN BANGUNAN
Abstract
Nowadays, there is a tendency that publics use raw materials which are contained a high concentration of NORM
as building material. Therefore, exposure to radiation from natural radioactiviy in building materials such as house
and or offices are increasing significantly. Since, it is necessary to calculate the limit content of NORM in building
material to protect of the public from prolonged exposure. In this concept, standard quality derived by using room
model with dimensions 5 x 4 x 2.8 m3 and walls 15 cm thick, constructed of material with a surface density of 100
– 500 kg/m2. Thus, based on NORM characteristic in covers a wide range of building material in Indonesia and
contribution of radiations from the walls in the room, a standar quality of NORM in building material can be found
by a general equation : 1
