Research of chloride test in sulphate acid commodity

Abstract

Sulphate acid is a material which is used by many Industries, especially by “Downstream” Industries. As a precursor, Sulphate acid is also used in making of Narcotic. Refer to SNI No. SNI 06-0030-1996, the quality of Sulphate acid have to fulfill some parameters. One of that parameter is the Chloride parameter. From some examples of Sulphate acid which have been examine in The Laboratory of Institute for Research and Standardization Industry Surabaya, shows that the Chloride can not be detected. From the research that have had been made, shows that the way of testing for Chloride in SNI need to be corrected. (peng)
