STANDAR FILTER UNTUK KALIBRASI MICRO PLATE READER
Abstract
Micro plate reader is an instrument that is used in plant virus or bacteria analysis based on optical density. Testing laboratories that use this instrument as analytical instrument should consider that this instrument must be well calibrated. The calibration of this instrument can be carry out by the accredited calibration laboratory, but in fact, now the calibration of micro plate reader still could not be realized. As a metrology research laboratory, regarding to the main scope of activities and research on the field of radiometry photometry, it would be possible to carry out a research on filter standard measurement in order to support the calibration of micro plate reader based on optical density. The filter standard used in this research is the Neutral Density Filter (NDF) that its thetransmission factor on wavelength of 405 nm had been measured by using monochromator, and photomultiplier (PMT) as a sensor with electric current output, so that the optical density can be determined. As the result of this research, it shows that in the calibration of micro plate reader, there was a correction of positive (+) 0.047 OD with
the measurement uncertainty of ± 0.013 OD.
the measurement uncertainty of ± 0.013 OD.
